Creative Learning

Creativity is at the heart of everything we do at Dead Earnest so we love nothing more than applying it in a way that will lead to original thinking. Be it for children or adults, we can use our theatrical techniques to prompt learning in all kinds of subject areas.

Creative Learning is all about unlocking the potential of the individual; it is about helping them engage with their work on their own level and finding an exciting way for them to progress. The emphasis from Dead Earnest is on building an environment in which people can flourish. We believe that theatre has an amazing ability to achieve this.

The human mind has amazing potential but it can often be locked in by inhibitions; by the apparent need to conform to the ‘proper’ way of doing things. We want people to break free from these; we want people to come up with new ways of seeing and doing things. We inspire people to feel comfortable in taking risks.

Creative Learning is proof that education, at all levels, does not have to be one big, long bore. People don’t have to sit still for hours while other people talk at them. Instead, they can get involved; they can get energised and excited about their work. We find that the sense of ownership people feel when undertaking creative learning leads to fantastic, original work, from children in primary schools right through university to places of professional work. Creative Learning is a great way to assist the discovery of new and original thinking at all levels.
